About The Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Graphic Designer specializing in signage.
This role requires experience in both printed and digital signage, as well as a strong ability to follow brand guidelines and deliver innovative, high-quality work. The Retail Graphic Designer will manage the signage design process end-to-end, from initial concept development through final delivery.
As a crucial part of our team, this role must support a fast-paced start-up environment and adapt to our growth plans, with the goal of launching a minimum of 10 new studios per month in 2025. You will work closely with our construction team, project coordinator, and Brand/Marketing Leader to ensure all signage is on-brand and delivered on time and on budget.
Your duties will include:
- Signage Design & Development
- Gather and interpret requirements for internal, external, and digital signage from the construction and marketing teams.
- Design and create engaging, brand-aligned signage, ensuring consistency with
our established brand guidelines. - Develop creative signage concepts, visual mock-ups, and finished artwork for
both physical and digital applications.
- Project Coordination
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring efficient progress on all signage projects.
- Oversee the entire design process, from concept to print-ready artwork, coordinating closely with our dedicated signage company.
- Present signage concepts and visual mock-ups to the Brand / Marketing Leader for review and approval.
- Technical Execution
- Research, recommend, and apply the most appropriate materials, finishes, and specifications for each signage project.
- Prepare and supply print-ready artwork to vendors or printing partners, following technical specifications to ensure high-quality production.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and managing all signage files, artwork, and assets for easy access and reference.
- Additional Design Support
- Assist in designing general POS items, advertising materials, and direct mail when needed to support broader marketing initiatives.
- Administration Duties
- Create detailed brief sheets for external suppliers, printers, and manufacturers to ensure accurate production and installation.
- Coordinate with external partners to clarify requirements, address questions, and manage any necessary adjustments to deliverables.
- Track and document production timelines and provide status updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
To secure an interview, you should possess the following:
- Graphic Design Experience: Proven experience in designing printed and digital retail signage, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Creative Signage Concepts: Ability to research, develop, and present signage concepts that are visually compelling and brand-compliant.
- Brand Guidelines: Strong understanding of brand standards with demonstrated ability to adhere to and elevate brand identity through signage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant design tools.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple signage projects, including timelines, resources, and final delivery.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design choices and gather feedback constructively.
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- POS and Advertising Design: Experience in designing point-of-sale (POS) materials, advertising, and direct mail.
- Marketing Knowledge: Basic understanding of marketing principles and retail environments, with an eye for consumer engagement and sales support.
