About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable handy person to handle a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.  This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in hands-on work and is looking for flexible part-time work, such as retirees or individuals with an adaptable schedule.  The role involves a mix of tasks including general maintenance, assisting with new studio fit-outs, painting, warehouse management, and taking deliveries.

This is a part-time position, with flexible hours that may approach full-time during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities of our General Handy Person / Labourer are:‬

General Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks at Perth-area Pilates studios.
  • Handle minor repairs, touch-ups, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure facilities are safe, clean, and operational.

Studio Fit-Out Support:

  • Assist with the labour component of new studio fit-outs, including carpentry, painting, and general construction tasks.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Painting:

  • Perform detailed painting work for touch-ups and new studio preparations.

Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving and managing deliveries.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Organize and keep the warehouse clean and functional.

General Duties:

  • Assist with various ad-hoc tasks as needed to support studio operations.

To secure an interview, you should possess the following:

  • Proven experience in carpentry, general construction, or related trades
  • Strong painting skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in general maintenance and repairs.
  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks and lifting heavy items.
  • Must have own vehicle and full set of construction tools.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential).

Flexible part-time hours, averaging 20-30 hours per week, with potential for up to 40 hours during busy periods.

Hours may vary based on studio fit-out schedules and maintenance needs.
